The TEDAN Bufer ATC 80 buffer tank is an enamelled steel vessel with a volume of 80 litres, connected into the heating installation. The manufacturer recommends it as an addition to all types of heat pump systems – the buffer ensures their optimal operation when operating modes change.
How it works:
The buffer stores thermal energy from the heating installation. When this energy is used for heating, low-temperature heating is supplied from the lower layers of the buffer and high-temperature heating from the upper, warmer layers.
Construction:
- Water container made of DC04EK steel with a thickness of 1.8 to 2.2 mm, tested at 12 bar pressure
- Internal enamel coating with high quartz content – high corrosion resistance
- CFC-free polyurethane thermal insulation that retains heat for a long time
- Built-in replaceable magnesium anode at the top
- Inlet for an additional thermostat on the right side
- Connections convenient for installation and maintenance
Technical specifications:
- Model: ATC-80
- Volume: 80 l
- Maximum operating pressure: 0.6 MPa (6 bar)
- Side connections: 5/4"
- Overall dimensions (H × W × D): 834 × 420 × 436 mm
- Installation: vertical
- Warranty: 3 years
The buffer is part of the heating installation, which must be designed by a licensed designer. Installation and commissioning must be carried out only by a qualified specialist or authorised service centre. The installation must be protected by a safety valve with an opening pressure of up to 0.6 MPa. The manufacturer recommends preventive cleaning every two years.
