- New-generation "wet rotor" circulation pump for use in underfloor heating, radiator heating, one-pipe and two-pipe systems, air conditioning, ventilation, circulation systems, solar thermal systems, heat pump systems, etc. The pump and motor form an integral unit without a mechanical shaft seal. Only 2 gaskets are used for sealing. The bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid.
- Application: Systems with constant or variable flow rates where it is desirable to optimise the pump duty point settings. Systems with variable flow temperature in the pipes.
- Features: GRUNDFOS MAGNA1 combines an electronically commutated permanent-magnet rotor motor, a pump controller built into the terminal box, ceramic radial bearings and carbon axial bearings, rotor can, bearing plates and rotor cladding made of stainless steel, a stator housing made of aluminium alloy; cast iron pump housing; overload protection.
- Control modes: (1) Proportional pressure. (2) Constant pressure. (3) Constant curve - constant speed.
- Eight light fields indicate the current pump settings.
- Supplied with insulating shells for the hydraulic part to reduce heat losses.
- No additional electrical motor protection is required.
- Low energy consumption compared with traditional circulator pumps.
- The GRUNDFOS MAGNA1 series is a complete range of circulation pumps with a built-in controller that allows the pump operation to be adjusted to the current requirements of the system. In many systems this will significantly reduce energy consumption and noise from thermostatic valves and similar equipment, and improve control of the system. The pump is maintenance-free with extremely low operating costs.
- Pumped liquids: The pump is suitable for clean, thin, non-aggressive and non-explosive liquids that do not contain solid particles or fibres that may attack the pump materials mechanically or chemically. Maximum liquid viscosity: 50 cSt ≈ mixture of 50% water and 50% ethylene glycol at -10 °C.
