The innovative Heat Pipe technology

At the core of the exceptional efficiency is Heat Pipe technology. Each tube is made of two concentric glass tubes with a deep vacuum between them, acting as a perfect insulator that minimises heat losses. The inner tube has a selective coating that guarantees maximum absorption of solar energy even in harsh climatic conditions. At the centre of the Heat Pipe there is a hollow copper tube with a non-toxic fluid. When heated, the fluid evaporates and transfers heat to the collector manifold, which heats the heat transfer fluid. This continuous cycle provides fast and stable hot water production with high efficiency.

Our collectors are built for exceptional durability and ease of use. The vacuum tubes are made of toughened borosilicate glass, resistant to mechanical and thermal stress. The copper Heat Pipe TU 1 tubes are made with a minimal number of welds for perfect tightness and a long service life. They offer flexible connection of the collector – the two connections can serve as heat transfer fluid inlet or outlet in any direction, and the temperature sensor can be positioned as needed. The high-efficiency insulation of the header manifold further optimises operation. Easy to transport, install and maintain, these collectors withstand wind, hail, snow and dust. Uniquely, the system keeps working even with one or more broken tubes. It is also possible to connect several SUNSYSTEM VTC collectors for greater needs and scalability.
